This is basically PR ports/141166 by Boris Samorodov, which updates the code to version 3.83 and splits the patches into smaller chunks to ease future updates. This FreeBSD port can additionally operate on plain files containing a FAT image, thus requiring no special privilege. The program relies on mtools to perform the manipulation of the FAT filesystem.
